Opening enrollment will be granted through a random and transparent public lottery that will be recorded and posted to the Cecil Classical Charter School (CCCS) website when interest exceeds enrollment capacity. Priority and enrollment exemptions will be given to the children and grandchildren of CCCS staff, founding families and Board of Directors. Siblings of students already enrolled will also be given priority enrollment. This will include reserving seats for children who are not yet of school age, but whose parents, grandparents or guardians fall into one of the aforementioned categories.
All other families who wish to enroll their children may do so during the enrollment process that will run January 15th – March 15th each year. The enrollment application will be available on the Cecil Classical Charter School website and may be completed on-line or printed and submitted to the Executive Director or the Board of Directors. Each application will be assigned a number for lottery purposes.
The random lottery will be scheduled before March 20th each year with families being notified within 3 days of the drawing. The lottery is open to the public with notice of the date, time and location shared on the website and the social media links.
Siblings of those selected through the lottery will be granted enrollment status automatically. If the applications exceed the available seating for each grade, the random selection process will continue to create a wait list that assigns each family a place in line in the event any seats become available during the school year.
