The Board of Directors has been holding meetings with organizations and informational sessions with the Cecil County community since September 2025. These meetings and sessions are being held to determine parent and student interest in a classical charter school and to educate the community about charter schools. The support we have been receiving is overwhelming and has resulted in inquiries from educators and parents alike.
We will continue to hold monthly informational meetings throughout 2026 to educate the public about the mission, vision, and goals of the Cecil Classical Charter School. Founding families, supporters, and Board members will be conducting an extensive outreach program, not only for parents and students but also community businesses, religious organizations, daycare centers, ethnic organizations, neighborhoods, other community organizations, and educational groups. The campaign will consist of emailing letters and flyers (in both English and Spanish), distributing fliers in neighborhoods including low-income areas and homeless shelters, making phone calls to invite organizations and local businesses to attend informational meetings or hold their own, and identifying leads to families, students and educators who may be interested in classical education or another educational option.
