Cecil Classical Charter School Incorporated is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit through the State of Maryland. CCCS was founded to provide a much-needed advanced classical education choice for the county that currently does not exist. Our Founding Families, educational allies and community partners will engage with CCCS to create an exceptional academic program. The support of our stakeholders is vital and plays a significant role in our Mission and Vision.
The first goal of CCCS is to launch a tuition-free public school whose focus will be to provide a high-quality classical education for Cecil County parents and students. CCCS promotes fair access to education options in our community, especially for parents who cannot afford private school but want the benefits of a classical education. The school aligns with the purpose of the Maryland State Department of Education’s charter school program to “create alternative means within the existing public school system in order to provide innovative learning opportunities and creative educational approaches to improve the education of students.” This all aligns with Cecil Classical Charter School’s motto of Believe, Achieve, Succeed.
We are in the early stages of forming the Cecil Classical Charter School, which will be a public charter school to be located in Cecil County, Maryland that offers a classical education to children in Kindergarten through Grade 8. The mission is to provide elementary and middle school-aged children in Cecil County with a well-rounded, academic-focused instructional program that develops students’ knowledge, reason, and self-expression.
